Three Birds Realty was founded by owner and managing broker, Debra Altman-Foley in 2021. The name is a nod to her son who formed a love for birds as a baby and continues his passion for birding today. The Bob Marley song “Three Little Birds” has always had special meaning to her also. Birds represent so many things: positivity, freedom, empowerment, independence, enlightenment, hope, wisdom, peace. These are all things that Three Birds encompasses. Buying and selling a home can be stressful; our brokers will help you not to worry and know that everything will be alright- just as the song says. Marley’s immortal words took on even more meaning while opening a brokerage during the Covid-19 pandemic as a reminder not to worry, knowing that things will get better in time.

Debra Altman-Foley is the founder and managing broker of Three Birds Realty. She spent her early years as an Army brat and moved around a lot, including 6 years in Germany, before her family settled in Carmel, Indiana. While purchasing and renovating her first home in Indianapolis in 2004, she absolutely fell in love with the process and obtained her real estate license in 2005. She was awarded the title “Rookie of the Year” her first year in real estate and was consistently the top producer at her previous brokerage as well as being the recruiting manager.
She began building her team in 2013 and enjoys training and mentoring new agents, and sharing her passion for real estate. Her total volume in career sales exceeds $60 million. She loves working with first time home buyers, families moving up, as well as seasoned investors.
Debra currently resides in a 1920s English Tudor home in Midtown with her husband, son, daughter and rescue dog Belle. She has a love of historic homes, the character they have and the story they tell. When not selling real estate she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, doing DIY home improvements, biking around their Meridian Kessler neighborhood, traveling, and exploring local restaurants.

Katie is a valuable asset to ThreeBirds Realty due to her IUPUI Business Degree and extensive experience in corporate sales and marketing (over a decade!). A native of Indianapolis since 2005, Katie has been a successful real estate agent since 2015, assisting people in making their homeownership dreams a reality. She has an obvious passion for selling homes that has led to clients that want to work with her over and over again and to confidently refer friends and family to her.
Katie also brings personal experience in the custom home space as she is currently designing and decorating her family’s first custom home.
When she is not working with clients, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons and volunteering her time with a local animal rescue.

We are excited to have Mindy as a Broker at Three Birds Realty! In addition to her hard work ethic, she brings to the firm extensive knowledge not only in real estate but also through seven years of experience assisting a Real Estate Attorney and Developer. Mindy earned her Broker license in May of 2019, and she has since worked with buyers, sellers, and investors. She also has experience in new residential construction. Mindy brings a true passion for real estate and for helping clients achieve their goals and dreams.

Mindy was born and raised on the west side of Indianapolis, and she currently resides in Fishers. Living in different areas of the city has provided her the valuable knowledge in finding the perfect home for prospective clients.
In Mindy’s free time, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, hiking, attending sporting events, anything music related, and spending time with family and friends.
